The Land of Hope

Categories: , ,

It happened again…

What I knew I should do…I didn’t

What I shouldn’t do…I did

I totally blew it!

How many times?

How many more times?

How many times until His grace… stops?

Seven?

Seventy?

Seventy times Seven?

Never

Ever

Unlimited grace

Unending mercy

Unconditional love

Abstract heart

I ask

He forgives

I am weak

He is strong

I am blessed beyond belief

He tells me

No regrets, child

As far as the east is from the west

They are gone

Now move on….with Me

Cross over this wall of regrets and

pitch your tent in the land of hope

hope

For David says in regard to Him, I saw the Lord constantly before me, for He is at my right hand that I may not be shaken or overthrown or cast down [from my secure and happy state].
Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue exulted exceedingly; moreover, my flesh also will dwell in hope [will encamp, pitch its tent, and dwell in hope in anticipation of the resurrection].

I saw God before me for all time.
Nothing can shake me; he's right by my side.
   I'm glad from the inside out, ecstatic;
I've pitched my tent in the land of hope.
   I know you'll never dump me in Hades;
I'll never even smell the stench of death.
You've got my feet on the life-path,
with your face shining sun-joy all around.

  6. Great reminder, Karen. The Land of Regret is a sparse and empty land. Full of weeds that choke out joy. I love camping - and pitching my tent in the Land of Hope sounds wonderful!! Anyone for s'mores - (s'more of the Holy Spirit??)

    GOD BLESS!

  10. Blessings my dear sweet sister Karen...

    This is so FREEING!

I love how you capture so much in the beginning in few words... those REGRETS, those failings, those errors in our ways... SIN, Yuck! And then you bring us through so gracefully to the culmination in His Word! Hallelujah!

I am uplifted! I am transformed by His grace through your words of encouragement... yet somehow I meander with "regrets". I know that God can erase "as far as the east is from the west" the problem is that I can't... I can't go back and change
the past or wrong choices, nor can I continue to peel back the layers that I'm built around them ("those walls") but I do have hope and the HOPE to pitch my tent on the other side as I leap/cross over or sometimes drag myself wearily... because I know that there is something much greater ahead and I must move forward not backwards. I can't undo what's been done... and try as I have or might, it's not by my might to untangle this web of deceit or past or wish them away or different or undone; I must do my part, let go and let God! Sometimes I just can't leap... and I'm so thankful for my sisters in Christ (and your written love for me in various ways not just on your blogs) encouraging me along life's way, looking ahead toward Jesus, not behind (the wall of the past)
"those regrets" washed by the precious blood of the Lamb, whether I see the stains or not, it's His will not mine and I leave it in His more than capable hands and His love and aMazing Grace that frees me!

Hoping to see you when/as we cross this wall... LEAPING OVER WALLS with your hand in mine, reaching out, pulling me over... thanks sis!

    Love and hugs,
    Peggy
(Ok I'm still so far behind in blog visits but I am trying and you know I read them all...this was written on my parent's anniversary and it took me until May 8th... so thankful you don't blog as much as others and give me a chance to comment as I can).
